I am an ecologist from Peru with a deep passion for understanding how climate change is reshaping mountain ecosystems. My work has taken me from the high Andes—where I first learned to appreciate the complexity and fragility of montane biodiversity—to the United States, where I continue to explore how climate, productivity, and species distributions interact across elevation. As a Fulbright scholar and researcher, I focus on combining field ecology, biodiversity monitoring, and quantitative modeling to uncover the mechanisms driving ecological change.
After completing my PhD, I moved to the U.S. to expand my research on climate resilience and conservation in mountain landscapes. I am driven by the belief that rigorous science, thoughtful communication, and international collaboration can help protect the ecosystems and communities most vulnerable to a warming world. Whether working with local partners, mentoring students, or developing analytical approaches, I remain committed to building bridges between research and real-world conservation.
